Talc Powder Processing: Selecting the Right Mill for Every Application

2025-09-02 08:36:14

We are Liming Heavy Industry, a manufacturer of various types of industrial crushers, such as Raymond Mill, Trapezoidal Mill, Vertical Mill, Ultrafine Mill, Ball Mill, etc.
Our mills can process the following minerals:
limestone, quicklime, kaolin, talc, barite, bentonite, calcium carbonate, dolomite, coal, gypsum, clay, carbon black, slag, cement raw materials, cement clinker, etc.
If you need a mill to process stone or minerals into powder, please feel free to contact me (WhatsApp: +86 153 3380 7511). Thank you.

The performance of talc powder depends heavily on fineness, brightness, and consistent particle distribution. Choosing a suitable grinding system is therefore a critical step. Liming Heavy Industry offers four distinct solutions designed for different processing requirements and production scales.

1. MTW Raymond Mill (80–400 Mesh)

This European-style mill is built for stable mid-range fineness. A unique duct structure improves airflow, while the precision classifier ensures accurate separation. With its efficient gearbox, it suits industries such as paper, coatings, and plastics.

2. LM Vertical Mill (80–600 Mesh)

For plants requiring large-scale throughput (10–340 t/h), the vertical mill provides excellent energy efficiency—typically 30–40% lower than traditional equipment. Integrated drying capacity makes it suitable for raw materials with higher moisture content.

3. LUM Ultra-Fine Vertical Mill (600–2500 Mesh)

Ultra-fine applications in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals demand higher quality. This mill preserves talc's natural whiteness and layered structure by reducing over-grinding. The advanced classification system guarantees exact size control.

4. MW Micro Powder Mill (400–2500 Mesh)

Compact and economical, this series is ideal for smaller to mid-sized operations. Its optimized design reduces wear while offering flexible production of high-fineness powder.
